God Knows What we Need

Matthew 6vs7-8 But when ye pray ,use not vain repetitions,as the heathen do for they think they will be heard for their many words.Be not ye therefore like unto them for your father knows what you need even before you ask.Now beloved this part of scripture has been on my mind for some time now and l was wondering how then do we avoid repetitions?Does it mean we dont have to pray for a long time?As l meditated on it l found that it says vain repetitions thus meaningless words being said over and over.l would say repeating things does not make them come quickly rather faith makes things happen. We shouldnt repeat words in prayer but most importantly we should believe every word we pray .Believing is the key to an answered prayer its better to say a few word in faith and humility than many vain words. In verse 8 the bible says your father in heaven knows what you need even before you ask. Then some would ask why pray then if he knows what we want already? We do not pray to change the will of God or to make things work faster.Rather we pray for the will of God to be done in our lives,we pray to communicate with God,to show him how we love him and just get close to him.We present our requests to God and pray that he answers by his will.God loves us and he wants the best for us but for things to happen we must believe and have confidence in his power to provide for us.He knows what we want before we ask let us trust and believe him .When we pray we should get straight to the point and not just repeat words that we do not mean.Oh Lord l pray for your will in our lives and may you grant our desires today in Jesus name Amen.
